Only had a few minutes to read this morning before Read-a-thon ended. I got to page 6 of Mockingjay. Here’s the blurb for it:
Katniss Everdeen, girl on fire, has survived, even though her home has been destroyed. Gale has escaped. Her family is safe. Peeta has been captured by the Capital. District 13 really does exist. There are rebels. There are new leaders. A revolution is unfolding.
It is by design that Katniss was rescued from the arena in the cruel and haunting Quarter Quell, and it is by design that she has long been a part of the Revolution without knowing it. District 13 has come out of the ashes and is now plotting to overthrow the Capital. Everyone it seems has had a hand in the carefully laid plans, everyone–except Katniss.
The success of the rebellion hinges on Katniss’s willingness to be a pawn, to accept responsibility of countless lives, and to change the course of the future of Panem. To do this, she must put aside her feelings of anger and distrust. She must become the rebel’s Mockingjay–no matter what the personal cost.
You are on FIRE! (little Mockingjay pun there). Sounds like you’ve read some great books, and have more waiting in the wings. Go get ’em!

I loved the series. I would have to say though, for me (don’t let my comments sway you in any way) but I liked Mockingjay the least. Sorry. Don’t get me wrong, they’re all good, but I felt with each book they just fell short of the first. Keep going though. Keep reading.
See what you think. I’d love to hear a review.

I”m still only a few pages in(15, I think), I guess with all that reading last week, my efforts to read this one failed, so will take time to today. So far, I’ve liked both The Hunger Games and Catching Fire so I have high hopes for this one. I’m really hoping Peeta and Katniss get together. I like Gale too, don’t get me wrong but Peeta needs her more(Lol, if that can be said about a character, imo). I’ll try and write a review for it when finished but with its length, it may take a little while. And, no, you didn’t spoil my enthusiasm for it all!! Did you see the poster for The Hunger Games? They really transformed Jennifer Lawrence more into my idea of Katniss!!
