Traci Kenworth

My Tempting Highlander Maeve Grayson. Feb. 2016 Loveswept. Netgalley.

Maira Sinclair, eldest twin of the Sinclair clan, is horrified when she hits a wolf with her car. When it disappears on her and a Highlander Chieftain shows up in its place she is confused to say the least. For a year now, she’s been putting Granny off on returning to the 13th century. She feels her place is in modern times. But after meeting Ronan she’s not so sure. Cursed by a witch along with his mother and mentor, he is stunned to find himself falling fast for the woman who can break the curse.

This is a scorcher!! From the moment Maira and Ronan meet an energy passes between them declaring the other a soulmate. Maira has trusted others in the past with her time traveler status and got burned. She fears the same from Ronan. Thinking him a modern-day man, she is stunned to learn that Granny sent him to fetch her. She feels betrayed. As Ronan scrambles to discover how he can get her to forgive him, he has a growing unease at the secrets he’s forced to keep from her for fear of losing her.

This book is a fantastic follow-up to My Highland Bride, part of the Highland Hearts books. This is book three. You don’t have to read the others to enjoy this. You quickly fall into the storyline and delight in the characters. I think I enjoyed this one even more with the whole mystery of the curse and what had to be done to break it.

It’s a fast read for sure, I read it in a matter of two days. The story leaves you happy and eagerly awaiting the final book in the series.

5 stars!!
