Writerly Things 12/17/17

Traci Kenworth

So, I’ve been thinking: last year I took some time off to get ready for the new year. I always like to get my house organized and in ship-shape before then. I sort through all the old stuff and put away the stuff I want to keep. Doing so, gets me geared up for the things to come. I’ve done this since I was in my late teens. Usually, I end up sorting everything way up till just before the ball breaks. Anyway, as I’ve said before, I need to figure out a plan-of-attack for next year.

I’m determined this will be a better year. Last year, I had two tornados strike, one in July one in Oct. Our dog died in July as well. He’s our longest living pet and it was so heart-breaking to lose him. He was a golden retriever-lab. He had lots of fur which I was allergic to but a beautiful mix of colors. We had lost two of our cats the fall before, so it was doubly-hard blow.

I’m going to be off until mid-Jan. but never fear, I will be back before you know it and sharing the links again! I really enjoy letting others know about all of your blogs and there’s some I haven’t gotten to yet, but I will! Do any of you plan to take a hiatus? Do you have your New Year’s plans set-up?

I will start with a writing plan, then editing. Next, I’ll do the reading and then the blog. All of it will fit in, it’s just a question of my schedule and how things roll out. I will have posts up tomorrow, Tues., and Friday’s Book Talk. See you mid-Jan.! Have a great Christmas and Happy New Year, take care, and God bless!

  3. Wishing you a wonderful Christmas, Traci. I am sorry to hear about your losses this year, it is hard to loose pets. I will also be taking time off from my blog between Christmas and New Year.
