Mystery/Thriller/Suspense:

  1. http://annerallen.com/2017/10/author-pen-names-digital-age/ I agree you should use one name across genres. I use a pen name. It seemed the safest bet with my past and truthfully, I don’t want my ex’s last name to get the credit. I couldn’t change my last name back to my maiden name as my sister-in-law’s name is also Tracie. I liked Kenworth as my dad used to drive trucks and he had a model of one that I kept after he died. I like Kenworth, I hope to one day be able to afford to change my name legally to it.

  2. https://www.helpingwritersbecomeauthors.com/preparing-for-nanowrimo/ Are you preparing for Nano next month? I’ve done it twice in the past. Just last year for instance. I’ve come to see though, it doesn’t work for me. I get some word count and the first time, I completed the story but I’m just an at-my-own-pace kind of writer. Cheers to all you who participate though.

  4. http://authorkristenlamb.com/2017/10/the-book-blurb-an-invitation-readers-simply-cant-turn-down/ How important are blurbs? I write them before I write the book. I find it a lot easier to do it this way, plus you can use the blurb as a guideline for your story. There will be deviations, things happen during the righting but you can pull it back or rewrite it in the end.
  5. http://writersinthestormblog.com/2017/10/4-questions-to-jumpstart-your-novel/ Why can’t your protagonist just walk away? If she/he can, you don’t have a story.
